SOS:Her, a session for girls educating on the signs of human trafficking

Empowerment, Love, and Education all come together at Seat for Her. These sessions allow girls ages 8-18 to gather and be informed about the proximity of human trafficking. They are educated by survivors of sex trafficking and law enforcement. Breakout sessions include self-defense, deeper self-love, and strengthening communication between families and the community.

Hosting a session is available.

Free the Girls Bra Drives

These annual bra drives provide sustainable economic opportunities for survivors of sex trafficking.

The donated bras, new or very gently used, are shipped throughout America, Mexico, Thailand, and Uganda to the Free the Girls chapters, where the bras are distributed to survivors. The ladies sell their items within a controlled marketplace.

Food Equity for the City

39% of Houston households are still food insecure. Most of the marginalized neighborhoods do not have access to grocery stores.

Every Spring and summer, we partner with local farmers to come into the communities to build small sustainable gardens and teach the residents how to grow their own fruits and vegetables.

If you want economic empowerment, this is where it begins.

Every human has a right to complete nutrition.

Partners: Urban Harvest and Hope Farms

We are dedicated to reshaping the narrative of how people work, play, and live—an individualized approach yet equally grounded in the common mission and purpose.

The Founder

LaShanna Moore

Steeped rich in a conviction that every human being deserves a voice, and a healthy life LaShanna Moore strives to improve systems, ideologies and mindsets everywhere she goes.

Raised in a faith-based home by two conscious parents LaShanna learned early on that the best tool of communication was the ear; listening. Every individual has a story. Change begins with listening. Leadership begins with listening. You can specify and amplify action because you have listened, heard the need, and identified the systemic or mental barrier.

Mrs. Moore’s life is not only filled with activism and wellness; she also plunges into her background in the performing and visual arts for joy. As a former dancer and present actress and filmmaker, she uses her visionary mind to delight in adult recess and elevate women’s voices.

[ TESTIMONIALS ]

"I brought my daughter to the SOS:Her event for anti-human trafficking. She was amazed by the information and enjoyed the self-defense segment. I was shocked to learn so much myself. This event encouraged our girls to truly love themselves. Thank you for empowering mine and giving her tools to be aware of her surroundings.”
